Our 2 top skippers, Tiffany Branscombe and Georgia Toay, travelled to Loughborough in the Summer of 2010 to represent the UK at the World Youth Tournament, part of the World Championships. As half of team GB23 they finished 13th out of 16 in the 12-14 Open team division so at least fulfilled their ambition not to be last! Their best event was the 3 person double dutch routine in which they finished a creditable 8th.

Tiffany also competed in the 12-14 Female Masters in which she was ranked 41st in the World.

We were delighted to welcome 16 of the Bouncing Bulldogs Jump Rope team from North Carolina, USA to stay with us for two days during their UK tour at the end of July 2009. Members of this world-renowned international and national champion jump rope team led a 3 hour fun-filled rope skipping workshop for 15 members and 28 non-members of all ages and abilities in the Jubilee Hall. We were all inspired by their amazing talent, enthusiasm and energy. For a video taken of their final demonstration, go to Galleries page and click on the Bouncing Bulldogs Demo video link.
Many thanks to the parents who helped to provide the visitor’s lunch and hosted many of the children.
